SQLJ's performance and manageability are making it increasingly popular as a means of accessing DB2 for z/OS data from within a Java environment. The introduction of the DB2 Universal Driver brings with it a number of additional capabilities. This presentation provides an overview of SQLJ and the Universal Driver, and presents some practical guidelines and recommendations for implementation in a DB2 for z/OS environment.
