Relational data in DB2 often needs to be returned in XML format,eg. for web applications, application integration, or data exchange with internal and external parties. SQL/XML publishing functions have been introduced in DB2 V8.1, extended in DB2 V8.2, and are now also available in DB2 V8 for zOS. This tutorial explains SQL/XML publishing through a series of examples, and concludes with a live demo.
