REORG of the Catalog and Directory
OS/390 2.9 DB2 6.1
After REORG of the Catalog and Directory the following Tablespaces indicate
that they need to be REORGed:
(the other Tablespaces in the Catalog are okay RC=1)

DSNDB06 SYSDBASE
DSNDB06 SYSPLAN
DSNDB06 SYSVIEWS
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
//SYSIN DD *

DSNDB06 .SYSDBASE 0 2818 0 0

DSNU289I -DB2N DSNURLIM - REORG LIMITS HAVE BEEN MET
DSNU010I DSNUGBAC - UTILITY EXECUTION COMPLETE, HIGHEST RETURN CODE=2

P.S. I suspect some kind of PTF might fix this! Has anyone seen anything
like this before?... : )

REORG of the Catalog and Directory
(in response to Jeff Faughn)
Never mind! From the Utility Guide and Reference p307:
For table spaces SYSDBASE, SYSVIEWS, and SYSPLAN of
the catalog, the value for columns FAROFFPOS and NEAROFFPOS of SYSINDEXPART
should not be used
when determining whether to reorganize... : )

Re: REORG of the Catalog and Directory

For your information, the reason that these ts have different reorg
requirements is that DB2 manages them quite differently from most
other tablespaces - see
http://jupiter.ryci.com/cgi/wa.exe?A2=ind0107C&L=DB2-
L&P=R7229
for some details.

From a thread which, I might add, a simple search on the archives
would have found.
