DB2 Certification.

DB2 Certification.
Hi DB2'ians,
I am interested in taking up a certification in DB2 OS/390 at Developer's
level .
I came to know that IBM currently offers only Certification at
Administration level.
Is that correct? Kindly let me know, if IBM offers certification at
Developer's level in OS/390.

Cheers & TIA,
Gopal.

The 514 DB2 UDB V7.1 Family Application Development certification
is somewhat generic. But whether you will use the CLI and JDBC
stuff is up to you to decide.

However it does not really cover SQL coding techniques, efficiency
or many of the other things a programmer needs to know.

There is a fastpath course available at http://www-
3.ibm.com/software/data/db2/ct10crs/ you might find of interest to
see what's in the certification.

IBM 512 - Funtamentals
IBM 516 - DBA
IBM 514 - Development
IMB 512 is the must to pass to go to either 514 or 516
and with 512 & 514 or 512 & 516 completed will gain
certificate.
