JAVA and CLOBS

JAVA and CLOBS
Is anyone aware of any limitations or options that need to be set for JAVA
(running in websphere on NT 4) when inserting CLOB data to an OS/390 DB2 V6
database server? When we run an insert from the UDB NT 7.2 Command Centre to
the OS/390 CLOB table, no problems, but when we use the setstring function in a
JAVA application (which works on the NT DB2), we get rubbish on the OS/390
table.

Also, my previous question relating to exporting from UDB 7.2 on NT and
inserting to OS/390 V6 didn't seem to raise any suggestions - if someone could
point me in the right direction on either of these, it would be greatly
appreciated.

Cheers,

Here's a web site that gives all of the limitations of the JDBC DB2
drivers:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/manager.wss?rs=71&rt=0&org=SW&doc=1000797

"What JDBC methods, data types, and features are not supported by the
JDBC drivers shipped with DB2?
Answer

not supported by the JDBC drivers shipped with DB2: ......."
