Oracle to DB2 v6 on OS/390 or Sql Server

Oracle to DB2 v6 on OS/390 or Sql Server
The company that I'm working for is looking into the purchase of a software
package that uses Oracle as it's DBMS. We don't have Oracle but we have DB2
v6 on OS/390 and SQL Server. Besides the DDL for tables I see a ton of
Stored procedures. My question is: Which is the easier platform to convert
the DDL and DML to DB2 or SQL Server? Or would both take just as much
effort on either? Thank You

I see Procedures like this:

CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE get_sess_id (
p_SessID OUT NUMBER ) AS
BEGIN
p_SessID := TO_NUMBER(USERENV('SESSIONID')) ;
EXCEPTION
WHEN OTHERS THEN
RAISE ;
END ;

and a ton of these for sequencing table rows:

CREATE SEQUENCE Seq_list_criteria
Start With 1
Increment By 1
Minvalue 1
Maxvalue 9999999999999999999999999999
Nocycle
Cache 10
Noorder;

I used to be employed my ManTech Systems Solutions Corporation. They
provide automated tools that facilitate the conversion of ORACLE
database objects and procedures to DB2. Since I am unaware of such tools
for conversion to SQL Server, I would guess that conversion to DB2 is
more easily accomplished.

Hi Chuck -

If it is not TOO indiscreet of me, I would like to know what were the
reasons that brought you to leave a company you feel so good about, that you
recommend their products even after you left?
