Registering DB2 with Db2 Performance Monitor for NT
Hi
I have previously left a question a few times re the presence (more
precisely, the absence) of DB2 objects in the WIN NT Performance Monitor
(DB2 UDB W/Group/NT V6.1).
For those who are interesated, the answer is that the Performance Counters
must be Registered to the NT Perf Monitor with the db2perfi /i command. The
funny thing is that "The setup program automatically registers DB2 with the
Performance Monitor", but who am i? Personally, I didn't find this to be the
case.
This is documented, but it was a long process to find this obscure command,
especially when setup is supposed to do the job, as per the quote above.
Any, now you have it.
While on the subject, does anyone even use the WIN NT Performance Monitor
for DB2 monitoring, in addition to teh DB2 provided Monitors (Event,
Snapshot, etc.)?
