DB2 Versioning

DB2 Versioning
Does anyone know whether you can create different versions of DB2 Cobol
Stored Procedures
without changing the name of the stored procedure?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me with this.

Hi Deborah,

I am not sure what sort of versioning you are looking at, but you can
create the SP with the same name under different schemas, and call the
required proc. The different schemas can point to different versions of
your program.

Deborah,

Under DB2 Version 7 for z/OS a stored procedure name does not
have to be unique because the combination of schema- name
and the stored procedure name that has to be unique.
By using different external names or even the same external name
further qualified with different collection-ids you can accomplish
the versioning.
