ZPARMs for SMS Management

ZPARMs for SMS Management
Dear Listeners,

In the Manuals, it says SMSDCFL and SMSDCIX can be used to specify the
default Data-class for Table Spaces and Index spaces respectively for SMS
management and they are in the Macro DSN6SPRM and says the default is
spaces. But, I don't see this in any panels in the installation CLIST or the
DSNTIJUZ Job itself. Is this something that needs to be updated manually in
the or am I missing something?

TIA,

These parameters were added with ptf UQ43986 in V6 (PUT0006). I remember
that one of the action holds was to update DSNTIJUZ to include them. Maybe
your systems programmer elected not to do that at the time. I don't know if
they updated the clist with the PTF or not. We only use it for installs.

You have to code them manually. Installation step 5 in section 2.5.5 of the
Installation Guide tells you how.

I forgot to mention we're on DB2 V7.1. I think I have my answer.

Thanks!
