DB2 V6; SECQTY limit constrained?

DB2 V6; SECQTY limit constrained?
We are operating under DB2 V6. The SQL Reference documentation indicates
we can specify tablespace or indexspace SECQTY values up to 4194304. When I
execute CREATE or ALTER TABLESPACE or INDEX, specifying a SECQTY value
between 131068 (the old limit) and 4194304, DB2 executes the SQL command
successfully. But, the SECQTY value is being reset to 131068; so, the
physical secondary dataset allocations are sized that way.

Is ther a corrective action we need to take to allow the specification of
SECQTY values between 131068 and 4194304?

Thanks for your help on this...
