Index problem
Good morning everyone :

I have some problem with one of my index. The following error
showing up in the address space.

MV1DBP1 DSNKTRAV DATA IN USE DURING ABEND
REASON 00C90101
ERQUAL 2008
TYPE 00000303
NAME MTCDCDL1.MTCIXDRI.X'00000000'
CONNECTION-ID=ISDCICP5
CORRELATION-ID=POOLMVD10001
LUW-ID=*

Then ran check index on tha particuler one and it went fine. After that I
tried to reorg the index but I am getting the S04* saying memory abend.
Any suggestions.
Thanks,
Rao.

Try REBUILD INDEX if you are on V7,
RECOVER INDEX if V5. Don't know about
V6 as we went directly from V5 to V7. If V6,
use whichever utility recreates the index from the table
rather than from a copy. You also might want to check your
DB2 maintenance. There have been several PTFs regarding 00C90101.

Use REBUILD in V6.

Re: Index problem
(in response to Terry Fuller)
Hi Rao,
You can get past the problem by REBUILD INDEX (RECOVER INDEX prior to
ver6) on the index that has the problem. REBUILD will construct a new index
from the keys in the data. The old version of the index will be deleted.
Your problem will be gone after the rebuild. There will be no need to do a
REORG of the index after the REBUILD.
Hope this helps,
