Timezone question

Timezone question
Hi all,

is there a way in DB2 V6 (maybe using current timezone) to determine
whether the machine you are running on is on daylight savings time or not.
The value returned from CURRENT TIMEZONE appears to be constant no matter
whether you are on daylight savings time or not.

Regards,
Warren

There are several techniques that customers use to change to and from
daylight savings times. Some customers just set the timezone to zero and
adjust the GMT, UMT or Zulu time. That's not the best technique, since
the timezone is not indicated, and then you get to have an extra hour of
downtime.

If the timezone is being adjusted, then CURRENT TIMEZONE should show it.
This should be the CVTTZ field translation.
