dsnb430i : ADMF not used

Hello

dsnb430i : ADMF not used
Hi all ,
I am setting the use of hiperpool on my DB2, using "display bufferpool
detail" , i get have the messages :
DSNB430I DD01 HIPERPOOL ACTIVITY (NOT USING ASYNCHRONOUS
DATA MOVER FACILITY) -
SYNC HP READS = 10424 SYNC HP WRITES = 0
ASYNC HP READS = 39757 ASYNC HP WRITES = 193237
READ FAILURES = 0 WRITE FAILURES = 0
DSNB430I DP01 HIPERPOOL ACTIVITY (NOT USING ASYNCHRONOUS
DATA MOVER FACILITY) -
SYNC HP READS = 10424 SYNC HP WRITES = 0
ASYNC HP READS = 39757 ASYNC HP WRITES = 193237
READ FAILURES = 0 WRITE FAILURES = 0

What does it mean ?

We are running on a os/390 9672 X47 , and ADMF is activated .

Thank you.

Re: dsnb430i : ADMF not used
(in response to Hello)
APAR PQ38174
changes DB2 to allow use of hiperpools without ADMF on g5/g6 processors and above. The support came out in 2000.
Of course one should mention that hiperpools are 2 genearations behind the current DB2 approach.
Replaced by Dataspace support which is being
replaced by 64 bit exploitation in V8

Re: dsnb430i : ADMF not used
(in response to Avram Friedman)
You are using MVPG in lieu of ADMF. G6 processor architecture started using
MVPG in lieu of ADMF as the performance is supposedly similar to using ADMF.

Aside from the fact as above,
It is not known how long you had the objects in the pool before the
command. You are writing too much and reading too little from this
hiperpool. It doesn't look like it is doing any benefits.
