Version 8 catalog poster from CA
Hi folks,

I am putting the finishing touches to the Version 8 Computer Associates catalog poster and I just wanted to bounce an idea off you all.

We had a considerable amount of feedback about the Version 7 poster, quite a lot of it concerning the fact that it had outgrown most peoples walls! (blame IBM for putting all that information in the catalog).

Anyway, I have been trying to get the Version 8 poster back to the sort of size we had in version 6 and I am inclined to remove all of the _HIST statistics history tables from the poster completely.

If anyone has any very strong feelings about this, perhaps they would like to drop me an eMail DIRECTLY (to [login to unmask email] and NOT the group.....) explaining why they feel these tables should be retained on the poster.

Thanks (and before anyone asked, I'd like to have the poster ready in time for IDUG in Orlando in May, but that sort of depends on when it goes GA)

What about putting those type tables on the back of the poster?

Phil,
I had to cut my v7 poster up to fit it on my cube wall.
I put the hist tables on an other wall that I have to roll my chair over to
see. No biggie since I don't use them much.
You could locate the HIST tables in a spot that could be easy cut out
without damaging the
poster ascetics to much.
Its a great poster and aid, I use mine almost every day.
Thanks for doing it.

We use the electronic version, which expands and zooms as you drill down.
It would great to have this available for V8, with access to all tables,
including HIST. Regarding the wall poster, we could do without HIST.
Thanks, Joan

We use the electronic version exclusively so size doesn't matter. It
works great. We have no convenient place for the paper poster.

As Phil noted when he originated this thread, he is still working on the
version 8 poster. So far as I know, IBM hasn't even announced a GA date for
DB2 for z/OS version 8. You can find posters for versions 7 and 6, as well
as Oracle posters, at
http://www3.ca.com/solutions/collateral.asp?CID=34584&ID=2652&CCT=
