What do we need on the m/f for Connect V8?

Mike Holmans

What do we need on the m/f for Connect V8?
What maintenance level do we need for DB2 for z/OS V7 in order to use DB2 Connect PE V8.1 with FP4 applied and the Control Center which comes with that edition?

I can make the V8 Control Center talk to DB2 for z/OS V7, but I have a nagging feeling that we're missing the odd bit because some things don't seem to work quite the way I was expecting. This may be because my expectations were silly, but it also seems to me that some of the documentation refers to things I don't appear to be able to see, and I therefore suspect that we're missing something. We've had confusing answers out of the DB2 support people at IBM, which differ depending on whether we talk to the mainframe DB2 people or the LUW people, so maybe someone out there can shine a light into the darkness.

Oh, and happy New Year to everyone on the list.

Steve,

I've certainly run DSNTIJCC, but some time ago.

But I try using the SPB, for instance, and it fails because it can't find the procedure DSNASP, mostly because it doesn't exist on my subsystem.

According to my sysprog, IBM have told him that we have all the PTFS, but obviously we haven't. Is there a checklist anywhere, to your knowledge?
