using the stored procedure dsnaccmd

using the stored procedure dsnaccmd
Hello everybody

Does any one use the supplied stored procedure DSNACCMD (which runs db2
commands) from other stored procedure or any program?

I search the net and also the db2-l archives and did not find any document
of using the stored procedure.

Thanks u in advance

Re: using the stored procedure dsnaccmd
(in response to Ofer Shpinka)
Hi Ofer,
well I was going to - and while I was figuring out how to handle the result
set that was returned I came across the the COMMAND example of how to write
a REXX stored procedure in the Appication Programming and SQL Guide (which
basically does the same thing as DSNACCMD, but it written in REXX and you
can see what is going on) and later in the same manual a section "calling a
stored procedure from a REXX procedure" which shows how to handle the
result set from the earlier COMMAND stored procedure. This second bit of
REXX could easily be adapted to handle the result from DSNACCMD or you may
find it more convenient to use COMMAND instead of DSNACCMD.

cheers,

Robin

Ofer,
I have a COBOL program which calls DSNACCAV if that would help.

The only trick was really learning how to handle multiple resultsets from
the SP.

Mark.
