online reorg issue

online reorg issue
We are running DB2 V7.1 z/os. This weekend one of my ONLINE REORG jobs
bombed because it tried to reorg associated NPI like it was a partitioned
index. It failed because it couldn't find the vsam file.

Also, does anyone know how to fix this situation: Reorg job thinks it
should be a J dataset (from the switch), but the catalog thinks it should
be an I dataset.

Thanks,

TRJ

Is this an IBM online reorg, or another vendor? Can you post the error
messages?

If you are sure the I dataset is the real one, just rename it to J dataset.
For some reasons, your job might have failed previously in which the switch
was not set properly.
