DB2 Version 8 and Coupling facilities

DB2 Version 8 and Coupling facilities
Is DB2 Version 8 compatible with the coupling facility environments we use
with DB2 version 7 ?? Or do we need to upgrade our Coupling Facilities to
accommodate DB2 Version 8. If so, how ?

Regards,

Ken

Yes if you are on CF level 12
See the program directory page 23.
Progarm directory available from:
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/zos/v8books.html

Sorry don't know how, I leave that to my Software Programmers ...

Reading a bit harder CF level 12 seems to be a conditional optional
requisite (and you need z/OS 1.4) - it gives Group Buffer Pool Batching.

We're already at those levels at my shop so I hadn't really considered the
absolute minimums. I can't easily seem to find mention of these.
It seems you need z/OS 1.3 as a minimum - but it doesn't explicitly say
what level of CF you need.

Can anybody else be more authorotive on this issue ?

Regards - Nic

The only minimum is to have a level that is in service. Most data sharing
customers will want to be at CFLEVEL 12 or 13 or perhaps even 14. There
is quite a bit of information about CFLEVELs on the web:
