Listserve title humble suggestion (all platforms)

Listserve title humble suggestion (all platforms)

May I make a 'humble' suggestion to all.

When posting a question/message on the Listserv it would help a lot of
people (and may help you get more, relevant answers) by mentioning, either
on the subject header or at least within the body of the message what
version/platform you are running on.

Now I know that many of you already do this, and some questions, by the
context of the question, can also be determined what platform you are
talking about, but there are times when they can not. Given the time needed
to read all the posts, it will make it easier for everyone so that they can
filter those items out which they do not have any experiences to begin with
and take more time to read those that they do.

This post should not be considered rebuke of anyone or thread....

Happy and safe holidays to you and your entire family

This was actually a suggestion that most posters agreed to a while ago. I
guess a periodic reminder that THIS IS A GOOD IDEA ... is a Good Thing.

Re: Listserve title humble suggestion (all platforms)
(in response to Philip Sevetson)
Maybe we need a suggestion of a format and what to use...

For example....

UNIX: subject matter

MVS: subject

NT: subject

Just a thought... if everyone does it the same way it would allow you to
set up filters and "route" e-mail to the appropriate folders.
