Georg Peter

programs like DSNACOLN, DSNAPRKY, DSNAFNKY .......
Collegues,

while monitoring our DB2 OS/390 V6 subsystem, I saw some programs like
DSNACOLN, DSNAPRKY, DSNAFNKY and DSNATBLS. These programs are unknown for
me.....

These programms accessed tables, e.g. SYSIBM . SQTCOLUMNS, SYSIBM .
SQTPRIMARYKEYS, SYSIBM . SQTFOREIGNKEYS and SYSIBM . SQTTABLES have the
TYPE = G (temporary tables).

It may be a stupid question, but: Does anyone know what these programs are
doing ? And what is the reason for these temporary tables ?

Any comments, thoughts, experiences are highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

With kind regards - mit freundlichen Gruessen,
Georg H. Peter c/o
