DB2 UDB for LUW v8 fp7a: db2cc issue post migration

DB2 UDB for LUW v8 fp7a: db2cc issue post migration
My Colleague has the following problem. Unfortunately he will be on
holiday for 2 weeks and so has left me to sort out the issue.

Please bear in mind that I don't major in LUW (I major in z/OS).

OS level: AIX 5.1 maintainence level 7
DB level: DB2 LUX v8 fp 7a
DB Edition: DB2 ESE with DPF

Background

We recently migrated from DB2 v7 fp9 to v8 fp7a.

The db2cc command worked before migration. After migration we get the
following error on the AIX server:

[login to unmask email]:/home/maxdata/.vnc>db2cc
Exception in thread "main"
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/java14_64/jre/bin/libdb2jcmn.a: load

DB2JAVIT : RC = 1

Thanks in Advance - Nic

(in response to Nic Honan)
I'm not DB2 literate, but I am somewhat Linux literate.

What is the output of the command:

ls -l /usr/java14_64/jre/bin/libdb2jcmn.a

?

It should likely include the string:

-rwxr-xr-x

at the front. If it does not, you might try the command:

chmod 755 /usr/java14_64/jre/bin/libdb2jcmn.a

This will mark the program as EXECUTABLE.

Re: DB2 UDB for LUW v8 fp7a: db2cc issue post migration
(in response to John McKown)
No joy here:

ls -l /usr/java14_64/jre/bin/libdb2jcmn.a gives:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system 35 23 Dec 14:16
/usr/java14_64/jre/bin/libdb2jcmn.a ->
/usr/opt/db2_08_01/lib/libdb2jcmn.a
and

ls -l /usr/opt/db2_08_01/lib/libdb2jcmn.a gives:
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 66257 17 Sep 19:38
/usr/opt/db2_08_01/lib/libdb2jcmn.a

My AIX experts tell me that this is ok. We tried it with -rwxrwxrwx any way

No luck here.

So what next ?
