Maintenance level for V8

Maintenance level for V8
Hi,

I present the question on behalf of an ex-list member:

I'd like to know which is the suggested maintenance level in V7 and the APAR
describing V8 pre/during/post -requisites for migration.

I'll forward the answers.

Thanks,

Isaac Yassin

I'm not sure that this is what you are lokking for ...

The Fallback SPE is PTF UQ81009. Make sure that you have this PTF on your
V7 system to enable fallback from V8 Compatability Mode. It is required on
all members in a Sysplex before you can upgrade the first member.

For service level, the current CST is the suggestion:
http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/zos/servicetst/mission.html
http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/zos/servicetst/cst3q04.pdf

The APARs you want are II13695 and PQ48486.

Here is a presentation with more this migration information and more.
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/db2storedprocedure/db2zos390/techdocs/S
1340rma2.pdf

You can get to most of this from the Support page:
