DB2 OS/390 v7 S0C4 on REORG using LIST
Dear List,

I'm attempting a Reorg on a partitioned tablespace using a LIST that
specifies partitions 1 - 6 of a 12 part tablespace;

REORG TABLESPACE LIST SCSTCPS1 LOG NO
NOSYSREC SORTKEYS SORTDATA
SHRLEVEL NONE
SORTNUM 4 SORTDEVT SYSDA KEEPDICTIONARY

Parts 1, 2 and 3 contain data and it works perfectly. However, when it gets
to part 4, which is empty, I get an S0C4 abend

PROCESSING LIST ITEM: TABLESPACE E1CSED1.SCSTCPS PARTITION 4
COMPRESSION DICTIONARY DOES NOT EXIST FOR TABLE SPACE E1CSED1.SCSTCPS,
PARTITION 4
THE COMPRESSION DICTIONARY WAS NOT BUILT FOR TABLE SPACE E1CSED1.SCSTCPS,
PARTITION 4
UNLOAD PHASE STATISTICS - NUMBER OF RECORDS UNLOADED=0 FOR TABLESPACE
E1CSED1.SCSTCPS PART 4
UNLOAD PHASE COMPLETE, ELAPSED TIME=00:00:00
INDEXES WILL BE BUILT IN PARALLEL, NUMBER OF TASKS = 4
UTILITY DATA BASE SERVICES MEMORY EXECUTION ABENDED, REASON=X'00C4'

I also get SORT messages as well:
WER999A HGUSP2HR,S0010 ,S0010 - UNSUCCESSFUL SORT 0C4 S
WER999A HGUSP2HR,S0010 ,S0010 - UNSUCCESSFUL SORT 13E S
WER999A HGUSP2HR,S0010 ,S0010 - UNSUCCESSFUL SORT 13E S

I have a region size of 32M for the Reorg step and I'm using a £ORTPARM to
limit the amount of sort space required.
Has anybody come across anything similar?

Regards,

Steve

(in response to Steven Lamb)
I've tried the job again specifying just part 4 without using a List and I
still get the S0c4, so List processing appears to be exonerated!
