Any "gotchas" for DB2 v7 when migrating hardware from 9672 to z890 ?
I'm migrating my last v6 subsystem to v7 on my current hardware and -
after I literally turned the corner in the machine room and ran into one -
was told that we will be moving from our 9672's to new z890's.
The os will still be zOS 1.4 and the various software pieces/parts will
only change if required for the new hardware - HA!

What would those who have made this move recommend as a start ?

Thanks,

(in response to Bruce Lightsey)
If your service level is far back, then there is a PTF or two that you
might need. Getting relatively current, say with a CST level would be the
best way. After you are running on zSeries, in 64 bit real mode, then
move hiperpools to data space buffer pools.
