Utilinit lasting too long

Utilinit lasting too long
Hi,

does anybody know why it takes so long to process a large LISTDEF?
Taking a COPY with LISTDEF, the UTILINIT phase takes about 1 hour to
complete.
This is the output of a -DIS UTIL(*) command:
DSNU105I -DS2E DSNUGDIS - USERID = STB116
MEMBER =
UTILID = ICIDS2E.L272524I
PROCESSING UTILITY STATEMENT 1
UTILITY = COPY
PHASE = UTILINIT COUNT = 0
NUMBER OF OBJECTS IN LIST = 1121
LAST OBJECT STARTED = 0
STATUS = ACTIVE
DSN9022I -DS2E DSNUGCCC '-DISPLAY UTILITY' NORMAL COMPLETION

Is there a way to make it run faster?

TIA,

Horacio Villa

Reduce then number of objects in your LISTDEF. Break it down to smaller number of objects
in your listdef. By the way what are you trying to copy? All of the tablespaces in and ERP
instance in 1 LIST?
