Part-time DB2 UDB DBA Position
GTS is looking for an experienced intermediate level DB2 UDB DBA with
experience on DB2 UDB V8.1 and above on Linux, UNIX, and Windows. This
position is on a GTS support contract for DB2 UDB V8.1.6 on Windows in
support of JD Edwards One World. All work can be performed remotely. Work
consists of scheduling online/offline reorgs, runstats, verifying that the
backup has run, and some problem determination. Most work can be done in the
evening or on the weekend. Contract is for approximately one year. Company
is replacing DB2 with either Oracle, SQL Server, or other proprietary
software. Company is located in Eastern Standard Time zone. Position is for
20-25 hrs per month, corp to corp, or 1099. Rate is $80 per hr from the
comfort of your home. 24x7 oncall to be shared with other GTS employees.
Very little oncall and not much effort once proper reorg/runstats schedule
worked out. Opportunity to work with a leading DB2 Consulting organization.
Potential for full-time employment later on. Must be US or Canadian citizen
