SQLCODE -922 USER Authorization in DB2 v7 Z/OS

SQLCODE -922 USER Authorization in DB2 v7 Z/OS
We are also receiving intermittent -922 Authorization Errors. The
particular users has authority to the plan and data. What changes if
anything should we consider for DSN3SSGN or the DSN3SATH authorization
exits. We have multiple IMS regions attaching to one DB2 subsystem could
this be a factor?

Perhaps the factor is IMS.
By default, from IMS, the PLANname is the program name. To override, you need to define an entry in the RTT.
Hope this help.

It has been a long time since I worked in this kind of environment but I
seem to remember that each IMS subsystem had to be authorized to the DB2
subsystem. You need to find the log messages for the IMS subsystem that got
the -922 and maybe the ims logs also.

(in response to Mike Bell)
Are the regions actually connected to DB2? And the plan/package correct that
are being executed? IE correct from an IMS point of view as well as DB2.

The -922 is more than just an authority issue. It's also an connection issue.
Something is not being connected correctly and authorized correctly across the
two subsystems.

As with any error, provide the tokens returned, not just the code. Then
we have a better chance of guessing. What is the reason code? If that's
not enough information, then the next step is generally to get the IFCID
0314 record for this failure.
