sql3282n with database connect

sql3282n with database connect
Hello:

I upgraded from DB2 UDB 8.1 FP 5 to 8.1 FP 9 (8.2.2) in a Win2K environ
recently.

I did not have to migrate any database and I was able to connect to some
databases on the same server but there are 3 databases which are posing
some problems when I try to connect. It gives me SQL3282N - Text from
message code manual: The supplied credentials are not valid.

I use the same id and password to log on to the server and connect to
the some of the databases without error.

The User Response inn the Message manual for this error is not helpful
to debug and fix this problem. These databases physically exist on the
server.

Any ideas to resolve this problem? Unfortunately I do not have backup
images of those database I am having problems with.

Thanks

Paul

(in response to Paul Gyau)
Hi Paul, Verify AUTHENTICATION type in db directory and dbm cfg for the
database your having problem to connect. In case both are not same, try to
catalog the same database with different alias name and match the
AUTHENTICATION type to DBM CFG. If that works you can uncatalog the
original and catalog with new AUTHENTICATION type.
If I remember correctly, we got a similar problem with FP 9, but not 100%
sure that we got SQL3282N.
Thanks,

Verify the security setting using DB2CA. Do they match the working connection entry?
I remember we say these SQL but not sure what cause this. However comparing the DB2CA
settings is somethink to look
