DB2 z/OS V8 – DBRM conversion form Unicode to EBCDIC
After completing the migration to NFM, you can simply set NEWFUN=NO and
get an EBCDIC DBRM

Re: DB2 z/OS V8 – DBRM conversion form U ni code to EBCDIC
(in response to William Favero)
Unless it use new functions ..... which might cause SQLCODE -4700.
I don't know why someone require such function. The precompiler setting
can be force to build EBCDIC DBRM regardless of the DB2 V8 subsystem mode.
Or do I miss some?

One more time, it is difficult but possible to convert a V8 NFM
DBRM to where it would successfully bind on V7. It wouldn't do
any good because V7 won't understand the new format of the
plist and you still can't run the program that matches the DBRM.
