DIS BPOOL question

DIS BPOOL question
Dear listers ,

When i use DIS BPOOL , there is two counters : SYSPAGES WRITTEN and
SYSPAGES UPDATES , why SYS PAGES UPDATES is always smaller then SYS PAGES
WRITTEN ?
Does it mean that SYS PAGES UPDATE takes account of all updates on the same
page ?

Thank you

Re: DIS BPOOL question
(in response to Billy Larsen)
Yes. SYS PAGES UPDATED is incremented every time a page is changed in the
buffer pool. SYSPAGES WRITTEN is incremented every time a page is written
back to DASD. The difference shows the benefit of deferred write in reducing
write I/Os.
