Presentation "Customizing DB2 Trace output"
Hi everybody.

Somebody out there could send me a copy of the IDUG 2000 A3 presentation
"Customizing DB2 Trace Output".

It isn't in IDUG site.

Thanks in advance

My copy of the IDUG 2000 presentations has session A3 identified as "DB2
Satellite Edition Administer 1000s of Systems". I didn't see any
presentation with that title on the CD. Are you sure that it was
presented at IDUG 2000?

Write an IFI program to retrieve, format, and analyze the data from the trace.

Re: DB2 Trace
(in response to Nguyen Duc Tuan)
Re: [DB2-L] DB2 TraceThe question initially was starting the trace to a dest of OP1.
If it goes to OPx you need IFI to read it, or the online monitor that started it.

If you write to SMF you can use dozens of tools to process the data.

The caveat is that starting the wrong trace classes to SMF will overflow the buffers and lose lots of system
data as well as DB2 data.
It used to abend SMF as well, but don't know if that's still true or not.

Joel
