XML-extenders and udt and udf
Hi,

We are running db2 v7.2 on z/os v1.5

We recently installed the XML-entenders.

We have defined 3 UDT to treat our XML :

SELECT * FROM SYSIBM.SYSDATATYPES

WITH UR;

OWNER NAME CREATEDBY SOURCESCHEMA SOURCETYPE
METATYPE DATATYPEID SOURCETYPEID LENGTH

---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+--
-------+---------+---------+---------+---------+-----

DB2XML XMLCLOB DB2XML SYSIBM CLOB
T -2147483647 408 2147483647

DB2XML XMLVARCHAR DB2XML SYSIBM VARCHAR
T -2147483646 448 3000

DB2XML XMLFILE DB2XML SYSIBM VARCHAR
T -2147483645 448 512

UMBER OF ROWS DISPLAYED IS 3

TATEMENT EXECUTION WAS SUCCESSFUL, SQLCODE IS 100

1) Is it possible to create these UDT with another lentgth ? eg. an
xmlclob of 1 maximum Gb to avoid using a lob-column defined with LOG NO
?

2) Has this any impact on the UDF , especially for XML ?

greetings,
