DB2 RLF is not working for all queries
Hi,Specialists:

I am enountering a strange problem in DB2 RLF,does anybody have the same
problem before, your opinion is greatly appreciated all the same.

In DB2, i defined SYSIBM.DSNRLST01 as:
S Column Name Column Value
* *
- ------------------ --------------
AUTHID TESTID
PLANNAME
ASUTIME 10
RLFFUNC 2
RLFBIND
RLFCOLLN
RLFPKG
LUNAME PUBLIC
RLFASUERR ?
RLFASUWARN ?
RLF_CATEGORY_B
*******************************
this entry worked as defined for this DB2 system no matter i run a query
from TSO/BATCH or QMF,but in another DB2 subsystem in the same LPAR,the
same above entry does not seem to work,i have re-started RLF to get this
into effect, and checked all the ZPARM settings between these two
system,they are exactly the same.

Now i have no idea where else i should have checked between these two
system..or is there are any special settings i have to modified to get
this worked...

could you please give some opinions..that is greatly appreciated! thanks
in advance.

Robin

Hello I encountered the same problem when we applied RLF in our
subsystems... You have to create a new table for the other subsystem as
well with the same definitions...Enery DB2 subsystem needs its own
table...Also you have to START and STOP RLF separately in every DB2
sybsystem even if they are on the same LPAR.....
Good luck..

Hi,Evi:

Thanks a lot for your kind advice.
Maybe i did not stated correctly,i do have one DSNRLST01 table for each
DB2 subsystem, and all the settings are exactly the same in these two
system, one is working fine, but another one is not working.

Below is what i have checked:
1.ZPARM settings are all the same in DSNA and DSNB.
2.In DSNA SYSIBM.DSNRLST01 are defined:
S Column Name Column Value
* *
- ------------------ --------------
AUTHID TESTID
PLANNAME
ASUTIME 10
RLFFUNC 2
RLFBIND
RLFCOLLN
RLFPKG
LUNAME PUBLIC
RLFASUERR ?
RLFASUWARN ?
RLF_CATEGORY_B
*******************************
In DSNB SYSIBM.DSNRLST01 zre defined:
S Column Name Column Value
* *
- ------------------ --------------
AUTHID TESTID2
PLANNAME
ASUTIME 10
RLFFUNC 2
RLFBIND
RLFCOLLN
RLFPKG
LUNAME PUBLIC
RLFASUERR ?
RLFASUWARN ?
RLF_CATEGORY_B
*******************************
3.I have re-started RLIMIT and -DIS RLIMIT shows that SYSIBM.DSNRLST01 are
active.

But in DSNA,RLF is still not working as defined,i am not sure where else i
should have done something to get this working..

Thanks all the same.
