thats the problem with C. The contoken in Cobol is "easy" to find. In C it
is split into four pieces and is either direct or relative pointed. Very
hard to find...open a PMR and wait for eternity....

Hi,

Last time I check "C" contoken (circa V5) it was split into 4 and reversed:
X'123456789ABCDEF0' ==> X'DEF09ABC56781234'
Moreover, any quarter starting with 0 (zero) disappeared ...

(in response to Isaac Yassin)
You can verify the bind file header using the following utility :

Usage: db2bfd [ [-b] [-h] [-s] [-v] ] <filespec>

Also, there is possibility of getting the old package replaced by new one having the same name (becz generally DB2 generates package name of only furst 8 characters of the bindfile.)

So you can use [PACKAGE [USING package-name]] option to specify unique package name while doing db2 prep.

Thanks and Regards,
GANESH (IBM, India)

Roy:

The C / C++ consistency token is stored in a series of half words that are
reconstructed into the token by the program. It is difficult, but not
impossible to solve.

The customer should open a PMR, as that will get her support through the IBM
process. The normal source of this error is that the load module does not
match the DBRM. The token is taken from the DBRM and then matched to the
DB2 Catalog and the program. In this case it does not match the load
module. Since the package runs this means it is a different package form
the DBRM being examined.

HLS Technologies, Inc. is ready to support anyone using either Bind Manager
or Path Checker. In the E.U call Russell Arrowsmith at +44 1753 725 532.
In the US call 888 494 9019. We will arrange a WebEx call and walk the
customer through the products and any problem resolution.

Sincerely,

Gerald Hodge
