z/OS: Can I load my DCOLLECT Data into DB2 tables?

z/OS: Can I load my DCOLLECT Data into DB2 tables?
Hi everyone. Santa has not found Massachusetts yet so I thought I'd ask the group.

I'd like to load my DCOLLECT data into DB2 tables; after much searching I can't find any precoded table definitions or LOAD cards. All I have so far are the SYS1.MACLIB definitions.

I have access to SAS and MXG so I do have the option of going that route, but, z/OS is easier.

Has anyone coded up the table definitions for the various DCOLLECT records and or defined Load cards to populate said Tables? If so, are they available for creative reuse?

Thanks and have a nice holiday.

(in response to Ivan L)
We do this by using one of the CBT freebie REXX routines that sorted the
data then produced reports. The sorted data is feed into the DB2 load
utility. Been too long since we found and implemented this but my notes
at the time mentions it was on file 206 of the CBT tape.

AFAIK you can make this with IBM TDS (Tivoli Decission Support), and can
find some information about the tables in the product manuals.

Re: z/OS: Can I load my DCOLLECT Data into DB2 tables?
(in response to Michael Wickman)
Hi Ed,
I have a set of DDL/DML/JCL that executes DCOLLECT and then loads the data to DB2 tables.
We use the data for a set of reports to help us manage our dasd.

I would be glad to share this if it can be of use to you or anyone else. Be aware though that if you
archive DB2 datasets the DCOLLECT function does not report the actual space used by an archived
tablespace/indexspace.
