-904 on Open cursor with DDF

Hello

-904 on Open cursor with DDF
Dear all ,
A programmer reported me this problem , and after all checks , i cannot find
the solution

-904 on an OPEN CURSOR , the SQL is a select with 2 tables from a Remote DB2 -
the program display doesn't give other details

I ran manually the sql with QMF successfully,

Do you have an idea where the problem could come from ?

Regards

(in response to Hello)
Make sure that you are closing the cursor once the task is finished which is done after opening the cursor.

It would be good, if you provide more details.

Hi Dan,

The query runs through qmf fine and through program gives you -904
during the cursor open. I had faced this scenario in the past and you
need to look at the locks per thread exceeding the value. That is the
program has taken more locks than specified value in NUMLKUS.

Thanks

Dan,

You can use db2pd utility to determine which resource is locked and which other transaction (pid) is waiting for the locks to release. You may also want to verify the isolation level set.
