DB2v8 zos Visual Explain and missing milliseconds.

DB2v8 zos Visual Explain and missing milliseconds.
Hello,
After you select plan / packages and click retrieve statements within List
Static SQL, Visual Explain finds qualifying statements, query number(s),
bind time, and the plan / package owners from SYSPACKSTMT and/or SYSSTMT.
Visual Explain then searches the relevant DSN_STATEMNT_TABLE(s) to grab
the time estimates.

Try graphing the SQL you've selected. You'll likely get an error message
and the error message will be instructive.

1) Could be there aren't any DSN_STATEMNT_TABLE records for the plan /
collid, package, version.
2) Could be there isn't a DSN_STATEMNT_TABLE.

To graph the SQL, there is a button in the upper left hand corner that
looks like a graph. You should either get an error indicating there
aren't records, or that the DSN_STATEMNT_TABLE doesn't exist.

Happy New Year!
Pat

Re: DB2v8 zos Visual Explain and missing milliseconds.
(in response to Patrick Bossman)
Well, I was missing some pieces.
1. I re-created the DSN_STATEMENT_TABLE
2. I bound the package with explain yes and the owner I'm using for VE.
3. Bring up List Static SQL Statements, select the package and select
"Retrieve Statements"
4. A list of all the queries is displayed, including the ones I just
bound.
5. I select recent query from the list and select "Graph Access Path"
6. The access path graph is displayed, with no errors.
But; VE is still displaying 0 in the two cost columns.

What next?

thanks,
cliff:-)
