DB2 zOS question
As a new applicaiton DBA, I have a simple question.
What does it mean to "Peg" a table into memory? and how is this done?

Re: DB2 zOS question
(in response to Ramon Santiago)
It means that a DB2 table is "fixed" into a DB2 bufferpool so that no
I/O is ever performed against it

Currently, in z/OS, this is not possible to do directly, so you have to
trick DB2

Easiest way is to create a bufferpool a little bigger than the table,
change the table/space definition to live in this bufferpool and now
arrange for some process to read every page. Once that is done, all
access to the table will be memory-only

Hope this helps
