[ADMIN] Job posting subject headers

Robert Galambos

[ADMIN] Job posting subject headers
recently we have seen a couple of job posting to this listerv (that is a good thing).

So in that vane I would like to ask those who want to post job posting on the listserv follow a simple suggestion

in the prefix of the subject heading ass the following

[JOB POSTING]

in this way, those who are interested can readily read the posts and those who are not can create filters.

thanks in advance for your understanding

Re: [ADMIN] Job posting subject headers
(in response to Hugh Lapham)
Just curious...
Does anyone have filters set up to delete items with subjects containing
[JOB POSTING]?

If you were looking for a job, would you create a filter looking for the
words JOB POSTING, or would you search on "DBA", "position" or some
other more likely combination?

If no one has a filter for JOB POSTING, then can we dispense with that
guideline, and not get multiple ADMIN emails every time the blessed
event of an open position comes our way? Do we really need a guideline
for [bracketed info] for every single post?

Thanks,
Cathy
