How to create V8 Partitioned Table Syntax
Dear list members:

I am trying to create a DB2 V8 NFM Partition Table, I have used the IBM

Re: How to create V8 Partitioned Table Syntax
(in response to Mark Horrocks)
Hi Michael

It should be:

CREATE TABLE PART_TABLE
(COL1 CHAR(8),
COL2 INTEGER)
IN GRAPH02.SPART
PARTITION BY (COL2)
(PARTITION 1 ENDING AT (100),
PARTITION 2 ENDING AT (200),
PARTITION 3 ENDING AT (300))

Note GRAPH02.SPART is a 3-partition tablespace ("I created earlier") and
that there are a LOT of parentheses, in some odd places

Hope this helps!

Re: How to create V8 Partitioned Table Syntax

Make sure that you create the table in a partitioned tablespace with
exactly the same number of partitions as specified in the CREATE TABLE
statement!
