DB2 column encryption
I believe that for DB2 for z/OS that the above facility was first
implemented in Version 8. Can someone tell me in what version this
arrived in DB2 for LUW.

OK then since that question met with silence, I'll try another. Is
column encryption available in DB2 UDB for LUW Version 8.

Re: DB2 column encryption
(in response to Jim McAlpine)
Jim,

Looking at the DB2 for LUW 9 manuals, I see that an ENCRYPT() function
is in the doc, and is NOT marked with change bars. I went to the IBM
web site, and looked at the DB2 8.1 documentation, and again, I saw that
the ENCRYPT() function is in the SQL Reference Vol 1, again, no change
bars. So I would presume that it was introduced with DB2 for LUW
Version 7 (or maybe 7.2, AKA V7 Fixpack 3). Took about 5 minutes to
find the info on the web, BTW.
