at which DSNZPARM values should we think of adding another data sharing member?CHTREAD-
Hi to all,

According to db2 for z/os v8 installation guide:

Max values for CHTREAD-IDBACK-MAXDBAT-IDFORE = 2000

And In most situations, the amount of real and virtual storage determines
the maximum number of threads that DB2 can handle.

Let's say we have CHTREAD=1000 for a datasharing member, and our
transactions per second is increasind day by day.

Of course we know that it depends but can you say that is it safe to make
CHTREAD(OR IDBACK-MAXDBAT-IDFORE) 1200, 1500, 1700, 1900, 2000 etc ? at
which values should we think of adding another data sharing member ? Do any
of you have experince on this?

you can also consider CONDBAT, IDBACK-MAXDBAT-IDFORE values as well.

we would like to know, in your environment, which big values are used for
CHTREAD-IDBACK-MAXDBAT-IDFORE,CONDBAT parameters?

regards, kadir guray meric
