It would be useful if you posted the entire entry from db2diag.log
that contains this message. Otherwise it's nearly impossible to gauge
what this is.

Re: unusual Error message in db2diag.
(in response to Ian Bjorhovde)
Hi Ian,

I was talking about following error message.

2008-12-03-01.19.59.367678-300 I1480C441 LEVEL: Warning
PID : 7344278 TID : 1 PROC : db2agent (idle) 0
INSTANCE: xxxxxxx NODE : 000 DB : xxxxxxxx
APPHDL : 0-254 APPID: *LOCAL.xxxxxxxx.090420234846
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, common communication, sqlcctcplogIPAddress, probe:50
MESSAGE : DIA3220W Client sent data from IP address = "35.41.66.270", port = "3796".

And the possible reasons to logged above error message in db2diag.log by DB2 are :

When a DRDA AS (Application Server) or DB2RA AS gets a connect/attach request from a client, the AS checks the header info or eye-catcher of the requestor's data. If the AS finds bad info, it will drop the connection, and log this message in the db2diag.log. It is not an error condition on the server, and it is able to accept subsequent requests.

Bad info in the received data can be:
- communication failure occurred
- found illegal DSS type or GDS ID
- header's length is not correct
- corrupt header
