To be Z OS V1.9 DB2 V8... What is new feature of DB2 v8 ?
Dear List,

In my shop, we are migrating to DB2 v8 and z OS 1.9 shortly. I have been
contacting IBM (Tech support) and Vendors for current releases'
compatibility with DB2 v8. Some releases of the products were said to be
"tolerant" to DB2 v8 as they would cope with DB2 v8 but would not support
any *new feature* of DB2 V8.

For eg., QMF v7 tolerates DB2 v8 NFM. Suppose under DB2 v8, I have a table
name that is 32 character long, will querying via QMF truncate what is
beyond 18 character length ? OR it is just that I may have to update the
FORM manually to show entire 128 characters ?

Has anyone faced this ? or , if on QMF 7 with DB2 8, could anyone run this
for me ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Bala.
