Rebind error in DB2 z/os v8. Help please
Hi colleague

We just migrated to v8 yesterday in CM mode (non datasharing) .

I failed on rebind DB2 package in v8 as unsuccessful. Here is the error:
REBIND PACKAGE(xxx.LLP88AA.(*)) OWNER(yyyyyy) EXPLAIN(YES)
DSNX200I = REBIND SQL ERROR
USING yyyyyyy AUTHORITY
PLAN=(NOT APPLICABLE)
DBRM=LLP88AA
STATEMENT=1440
SQLCODE=-104
SQLSTATE=42601
TOKENS=INTO :
CSECT NAME=DSNHSMS1
RDS CODE=502
DSNT233I = UNSUCCESSFUL REBIND FOR
PACKAGE =
------------------------------------
Here is the statement: 1,440 FETCH SUMMARY INTO :VLP1066-ROW.V1066-TEAMIND,
:VLP1120-ROW.V1120-zzzzzz

Two weeks ago I have rebound this package successfully in DB2 v7. I rebind it now after CM mode and it failed.

Any clue or idea what went wrong and where I need to look? Any experience with this error?

Nick Nur

(in response to Nick Nur)

Nick,
Summary is now a reserved word in DB2 V8.  Take a look at the SQL Reference manual, there's a bunch of new additions.

Thanks,
- Dominic

(in response to Dominic Diascro)
Thanks Dominic. Shall place summary between two quotes and precompile and compile and bind this package and see if that resolves the problem. Thanks again.
