Re: DB2 UDB/connect
(in response to Joe Hartmann)

I am assuming you are on Windows. Go to Start/Control Panel/Administrative
Tools/Services. Find DB2 service (may be called DB2 - DB2COPY - DB2 or
something like that). Right mouse click on it and choose Properties from
the context menu. On the Properties dialog, choose Log On tab. There you
will see which account your DB2 service is using (likely DB2ADMIN). This
account is locked out (password expired etc.). You can go and unlock this
account, or, you can just choose Log on as Local System Account radio
button. This is my preferred solution. Some may disagree but I much prefer
running all DB2 services as the Local System account.

What is your instance owner ID? And what is the ID named "RSADMIN" being

Re: DB2 UDB/connect
(in response to Joe Hartmann)
Hey Joe,

The password is your problem.

The password for RSADMIN on the old server is different than on the new
server. Therefore the application / user using RSADMIN with the password
from the old server will not work on the new server.

You either have to update the app to use the new password or change the
password on the new server to be the same as on the old server.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Scott,
That was my thought also, but the operating systems person said all they had
to change in the webshpere application was the IP to point to the new server.
They didn't change the ID or password...
Thanks

Re: DB2 UDB/connect
(in response to Joe Hartmann)
You may want to look at the "Workstations allowed" setting for RSADMIN and
make sure it's "All" or minimally includes the new server name.

Scott,
That was my thought also, but the operating systems person said all they
had
to change in the webshpere application was the IP to point to the new
server.
They didn't change the ID or password...
Thanks

Re: DB2 UDB/connect

I bounced the server this morning and the error messages have gone away. I
am not sure why this fixed the problem, but thank you to everyone who replied.
Thanks
