I have a customer in NYC with an immediate need for the DB2 DBA with the
skills listed below. If you are interested please email a current resume

Must have:

Five or more years of working experience as a DBA with DB2/UDB and/or
DB2/LUW in Linux and Windows backed up by the corresponding DB2/LUW DBA
certification.



Experiences in the following are PLUS factors:

* Two or more years of experience implementing DB2/LUW replication and
federation.
* Experience creating complex SQL to resolve business requirements.
* Two or more years of experience doing performance and tuning and
using tools like QUEST.
* Experience designing Backup and Recovery strategy for highly visible
production DB2 database in Linux. Knowledge of Tivoli is a plus.
* Strong experience in data modeling and using tools like Rational and
Erwin.
* Strong experience creating Stored Procedure and Triggers in DB2 LUW
under Linux.
* Commensurate knowledge of other databases technologies like MS SQL
Server, MySQL and other databases is a plus.
* Commensurate knowledge of current PC technologies like: SOA, ODBC,
JDBC, COM, ASP, Applets, Java, and OO.



Knowledge in the following are PLUS factors:



v IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.

v QUEST performance & monitoring tools.

v IBM z/VSE mainframe operating system.

v IBM mainframe COBOL and VSAM.

v Middleware and reporting tools like ViaSQL, WebFocus, and QMF.
