Re: [OT] LinkedIn

Jeffrey,

Keep in mind, there are 30MM people in the LinkedIn community.
Certainly some of those participating in DB2L are present in LinkedIn;
however, it might be better to use the search facilities within LinkedIn
to locate peers and contacts that match your interests.

Also, there are over 193K groups! Find seek groups and look to connect
to people in those groups.

IDUG for example has the "IDUG: The World Wide DB2 User Community
< http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=46747 > " group that brings IDUG
members together.

I just added 3 more; this group is up to 266 members.

If you find someone you want to connect with and invite them, you'll get
a much better success rate.

Professional Social Networking (especially in these times) is critical.

Re: [OT] LinkedIn

I am ebennerdotcom over at twitter, Willie we are already following each
other.

Anybody else want to jump on the twitter train? DB2 contacts has been the
most useful thing to come out of twitter for me, since most of my "friend"
friends seem to be reluctant to join and are congregating on facebook
instead. So I use twitter mostly for professional networking. It's pretty
cool.

Jeffrey,

Keep in mind, there are 30MM people in the LinkedIn community.
Certainly some of those participating in DB2L are present in LinkedIn;
however, it might be better to use the search facilities within LinkedIn
to locate peers and contacts that match your interests.

Also, there are over 193K groups! Find seek groups and look to connect
to people in those groups.

IDUG for example has the "IDUG: The World Wide DB2 User Community

I just added 3 more; this group is up to 266 members.
