Salary: $72,200-$120,000 (Starting salary
is commensurate with skills and experience.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:



The IS department supports a school with $26 million in revenue with 150
staff members and 31,000 enrollments per year (approximately 18,000
students). For the school to meet its aggressive growth targets, old
software systems for Extension have to be migrated to current industry
standards and where none exists develop scalable and secure proprietary
systems. The IS department is organized into 3 divisions - applications
development, classroom technology services and systems & networks. This
position is part of a multi-year plan to rebuild the IT development team so
the school can decommission 20-year-old systems, normalize/migrate existing
student data and develop secure and scalable Internet applications for
growing enrollment & delivering online classes.



Involves planning computerized databases, including base definition,
structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines
and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files
and various support tools. May establish database management systems,
standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables.

It's a sweet job, if you know MySQL, SQLServer2005, and Oracle. No
mention in the posting of DB2. I'd be interested to know why it was
posted on _this_ list.
