Question on db2 udb V8.2 on luw

Question on db2 udb V8.2 on luw
In mainframe DB2 when we cancel the thread we have an option to specify
whether we want the current transaction to rollback or not, do we have the
same option available on LUW ?

Such a cancellation is accomplished via the FORCE APPLICATION command in a
DB2 for LUW environment, and it doesn't have a yes/no option concerning
rollback. Uncommitted work will be rolled back when this command is issued.

Use "list applications show detail" to get the appl id, then issue the "force
application <agentid>" command. You cannot specify to rollback or not. Be
careful issuing this command, and with multiple databases per instance you
want to be sure to specify the right agentid. If the application is not at a
point where it can be forced the force might not work. You can also force
multiple applicaitons at a time by specifying multiple agentids. Phil
